The short story is that I’m first generation American, who spoke little to no english until I started school. Moved to Maine when I was 15 and as a family, we built our own home, spent the first year without running water and learned to appreciate things that many take for granted. I attended the University of Maine and graduated with a B.A. in International Affairs/Russian and immediately received my commission as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy, traveled to Pensacola Florida and began pilot training, retiring as a Commander 28 years later. In 2000, after nearly 11 years of active duty and traveling around the globe, I joined the Naval Reserve and began a concurrent career in the Financial Services industry. I’ve been supportive of my community, currently serving on the board of the Big Gig and volunteer regularly at the Cole Land Transportation Museum and community member of Community Health and Counseling Services. Previous boards include the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, Bangor Region Leadership Institute, Bangor Community Counsel as well as the Literacy Volunteers - Androscoggin County. I’ve got an eclectic array of interests, whether it be photography, traveling, woodworking, fishing, cooking, music, the arts as well as exploring wilderness areas. I currently reside in Bangor, Maine
